Starting April 1, RPS 205 high schoolers can apply for a seat on the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council for the 26-27 school year. The application period closes on April 30. Learn more: https://www.rps205.com/page/ssac-shared

Students in the Engineering Pathway designed, built, & programmed robots for autonomous challenges & fast-paced races. All 5 high schools competed in the Battle Botz event hosted at Rockford University. Shoutout to East for sweeping 1st, 2nd, 3rd place & Best in Show!










Due to the emergency day used on March 16, the last day of school is now Thursday, May 21 for Early Childhood, and Friday, May 22 for K-11 grades. Seniors' last day will stay the same on Friday, May 8.

All RPS 205 schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16, due to weather. All after-school activities will also be cancelled, including Y Care. The RPS 205 Administration Building, Sterling Holley, & the Operations Support Center will be open.

REMINDER: Winter Sports Awards Ceremony is TONIGHT!
Join us to celebrate in the Auditorium. Students should arrive at 5:30 to prepare, and the ceremony will begin at 6:00 tonight. We'll have light refreshments before the ceremony.
Students will receive their senior banners, varsity or JV letters, and / or freshman certificates, as well as special awards determined by their coaches.

Softball Tryouts will continue tomorrow at 3:30 PM, and we are still looking to add more athletes to the program.
Students should meet in the gym at 3:30 PM.

Big cheers from RPS 205 school board! Jefferson senior Mikiah Gerrity was honored as Rockford’s 2026 Youth Poet Laureate. This Poetry Out Loud champ is headed back to state March 2! JHS Bowler Lukas Marinelli also shined at IHSA State, with Coach Alex Shaver leading the way.





At the Midwest Region Conference, Zaire McNeely of Jefferson HS placed Top 10 in Elevator Pitch—the first ever for its Virtual Enterprise program! Students demonstrated their business skills through visual, written, & oral competitions. Zaire presented his company, SolarSky.
