At Rockford Public Schools, we know the school bus is more than a ride; it's often the first "good morning" of the day and the beginning of a student's school experience. To help students and families feel prepared for the first day of school, RPS 205 is inviting elementary and middle school families to participate in Meet Your Bus Driver Day on Monday, August 10. Visit your student's school at the scheduled bus drop-off time, which is the school's start time. This is a great opportunity to:
Meet your student's bus driver.
Take a photo with the driver for your scrapbook.
Ask transportation questions.
Help your child become familiar with the process before school begins.
Meeting the driver ahead of time can help students feel more comfortable and confident on their first day, while giving families the chance to learn more about the transportation process.
Families will receive an email from Transportation with their student's bus route information, including bus stop locations and times.
